She heard Goose makes kimchi and was very interested in making her own. So we had a kimchi making party, and in return she showed us how to make this most simple but delicious soup. We trekked over to the China Town markets to get some supplies, and she didn't even know all the English names. The base soup is very easy, and you could strain it as a veggie broth, or eat it with all the veggies. Around here we have just been calling it seaweed soup!

Base Soup recipe:
High quality seaweed (not processed) with the excess salt wiped off.
1 cornish hen, or 3 chicken thighs bone-in
1 tsp pink himalayan sea salt
2 carrots, roughly chopped
1/2 onion, sliced
2 tbsps grated ginger
5-6 cloves garlic, peeled
1/2 bunch chinese herbs (this is one of those ingredients that didn't have an English name)
3-4 leaves napa cabbage, torn into pieces
1-2 pints chicken bone broth (respectively, 1 qt chicken stock)

Your seaweed should be roughly the size of the pot base, large enough to lay the chicken on so it won't scald. Once the seaweed is clean, lay in bottom of pot and set chicken directly over it. Salt the chicken and layer the rest of the veggies around the chicken. If you choose to have a root vegetable (such as potatoes) slice it and add at this time. We used a root veggie, that didn't have an English name and I julienned it before putting it in, as I was told it would be very tough and take a long time to cook. Fill pot with 1-2 pints of bone broth and the rest with water.

Cook on the lowest heat setting for several hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165. Remove chicken and shred from the bone, replacing it back into the pot.

Once all the veggies are thoroughly cooked through, your soup is done.

Optional add-ins:
thai chili peppers to taste for heat
rice noodles
purple potatoes
fresh spinach leaves
sesame seeds
tahini or thai peanut sauce
ponzu
soy sauce
lemongrass (stalks removed after cooking)

I've been making a couple delicious meals and felt like sharing. Sometimes I get into a series of recipes that I just love and make over and over and over! Some recipes, I've followed from an online source and others I have just kinda thrown together on the fly and they turned out good.

I finally gave in and tried my hand in making mayo, because the store bought kind always has soy oil in it and I'm not really down with that. Here is the link to the recipe I followed, and you HAVE to follow this one exact or you just end up with a nasty jar of something. I messed up my first batch. Out of this mayo, there's practically endless options for fun toppings and dips!
Something else I wanted to make was pesto. Originally I had wanted to use all the basil we had, but I had some cilantro that needed to be used up STAT. This was really simple and easy to make and I take no credit for it, but I will put it in my belly any chance I can!

Man, I just realized I've been using a LOT of ground beef recipes! Oh well! If you're buying a good local grass-fed beef, you're good. Luckily, my health food store sells local grass-fed beef. I even found that Schnucks sells the same brand of ground beef as our new favorite BBQ joint PLUS it's closer and the same price so I have two great places to shop at, so I've been stocking up. I wanted to make sure that Goose's collarbone healed well, so I made sure we had red meat around a lot. Here's a couple of easy recipes you can throw together in a pinch!

I enjoy Mexican food SO SO much, but it really made me sad to see how I had such a negative unhealthy reaction to cheeses. So I had to come up with some way to make my own cheese-less mexi foods! I also love burgers, so I combined the two.

1 lb ground beef (or other ground meat of your choice)
1/2 bunch cilantro, finely chopped: reserve 1/4 c
2 tbsp cumin (less or more to your taste)
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 jalapenos, seeded and diced

Mix all ingredients together very well to evenly distribute the spices. Shape into 1/4lb patties to yield 4 burgers and grill until the burger reaches an internal temp of 160 degrees

For the topping:

2 dollops of mayo

Mix well and top your burger! Since we go bunless often I topped a bed of spinach with my burger and some sliced onion and the remainder of the cilantro if you so choose. This night I got a craving for some onion rings, as you can see. The only thing I did different with that recipe was throw the dipped onion rings in the freezer for a little bit so that the breading wouldn't fall off.
Who doesn't love some yummy chili? Since we mostly follow the paleo lifestyle, we sometimes like to add beans to ours chili but most often not.

1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground turkey
3 carrots, chopped
1 c mushrooms, chopped
2 pint jars of canned tomatoes (respectively, 2 14 oz cans stewed tomatoes)
2 tbsp tomato paste to thicken
1 whole onion, chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp cumin
3 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp ground red pepper (optional)
2 bay leaves
1/4 cup molasses
salt and pepper to taste

Cook the ground meat on medium heat until browned, drain and put into slow cooker. Add all the remaining ingredients and slow cook for a minimum of 3 hours. If you'd still like beans in your chili add one can of ranch style beans, juice and all! Taste often, and add seasonings if needed to your preference.

I know I haven't been blogging weekly, that's because I'd only be reporting the same old story...the GMO disease is out of this spot but still in this place. Each week little by little it moved out of my system. That's all we needed to focus on, so it would have been monotonous to blog it each week. Four weeks have gone by. I went in weekly, disgusted at the government allowing this GM virus to be exposed to us humans, yet not one iota surprised. *glares at Monsanto*. I am still annoyed about it, so lets look at this picture of the ocean together and breathe.
A few things to catch you up on that aren't GMO related:

After my trip to Texas and their super early spring, I had to recover from that. While the Healer is working his magic on me, I still have a damaged immune system that I have to rebuild. 33 years of damage does not go away overnight.

Two weeks ago I had a real wake up call. I was cleaning my bathroom on a normal Tuesday afternoon, trying to get rid of shower floor stains when all else had failed. So I picked up the bleach spray and went at the shower. Not 45 seconds later I was choking, and couldn't breathe. I was coughing so hard I was gagging, my eyes were watering and I barely made it to the next bathroom before my violent coughs gave way to puking my lunch up. Come Thursday, I started coughing and it "felt different" for lack of better words, so I jumped up from the couch during my shows and ran to the bathroom to spit. It was blood. I couldn't tell at the time if it was from my lungs or my ripped up throat from the violent coughing. I'd bet it was from the lungs though. I had a bit of a panic attack but since I had just refilled my ACS Silver spray I didn't feel freaked out enough to wake Goose to go to the hospital. However I did wake him to tell him "Don't freak out, but" which he totally freaked out. I did a breathing treatment of Silver, and managed to fall asleep somehow. The next day, the blood was minimal in my cough. I did two more breathing treatments with ACS and I repeated this to Goose and he hugged me very tightly and said "we can't lose you, you can't leave us yet" and that made all my heart strings rip apart. I knew that moment, I might just have to outlive the "we" in that sentence, and that makes my heart swell with love knowing those people, who know who they are, kinda need me around. By my next doctor appointment, I was all clear but still told Healer what happened and he had the same look in his eye as Goose and worried I was suffering chemical burns. He did test me, and I had done the right thing with the ACS breathing treatments because I was all clear of chemical burns. Also, I don't plan on using bleach EVER again. Whites will just have to white some other way. Shower stains will just have to cease to exist I guess.

I also had mentioned how it had been 50+ days or so without dairy and pork. I won't be eating cheese again, I don't think, because I prefer to have clear skin. It makes sense as I Would usually crave cheese with a burning desire about once a month. Even more so than chocolate. Also, we smoked a ham to put on a pot of beans Goose was wanting. I thought, why not try some out? So I ate a little bit of ham, and yes it was still delicious as I remember. However, I was sick the next day from it. It's really a bittersweet moment coming to grips with these food sensitivities. I am really going to miss it, but its also nice to finally clue into what my body has been trying to tell me.

Today was my final WEEKLY visit, it's gone. I AM FREE! Well at least of genetically modified diseases and previous pathogens. I know that there is a good chance that something else might pop up in my healing process, but as I continue to visit him for monthly checkups, those can be dealt with if they arise. I took a couple of ingredients I used to use into the Healer's office. I had heard he can test your reaction to certain foods and well, I needed to know. I took in coconut oil because, really why would coconut anything be bad for you? I also grabbed our black pepper at the last second. I'm so glad I did. I tested with the coconut oil, and I CAN handle it. I tested with the black pepper and failed bigtime. It was great I took pepper with me since most spices/seasonings include black pepper. I had been doing my best to avoid it, and now I know I'm "allergic" to it, so to speak. All the more reason to say no. It sucks because most restaurants use pepper. Luckily, Goose had been mindful of my pepper avoidance when he grilled. The food still tasted great without so I'm not upset about it. It's just one more thing to be cautious of.

The next steps are to continue with my supplements and general health. That includes Vitamin B, Vitamin D, Super omegas 3-6-9, ACG (Glutathione), DHEA drops, curcumin, ACS (by choice to keep these silly lungs in check, miracle thing I tell you!) aaannndd...I feel I'm missing something. OH! The once a month probiotic. I will continue to stick to the basic fundamentals to keep this up. Take said supps, exercise and eat accordingly to my blood type, hydrate, and sleep well.

In my experience, I hope what I learned can be passed along to others that I love. I know its not all going to be reciprocated, but maybe some of it will, and it's one more step in the right direction. I am sure there's more to come but for now, I'm happy with where I'm at. I've really learned a lot. I'm working out, my clean eating is at its prime, my pathogens are clear...now I just focus on my workouts and real food. No problem mon!wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-69766270175048571702014-03-26T18:16:00.002-05:002014-03-26T18:43:40.259-05:00Vacation, Day 52, and a bit of a rant

I had a busy 2 weeks, and a startling doctor visit. Don't worry, I am not dying but I will get to that in a bit. This will probably be a long post. Let's start off with my attempt at a healthy vacation.

I prepared and packed myself boiled eggs, carrots and broccoli, hummus, almonds and almond butter, apples, bananas (I shouldn't have, I only ate one because I don't like them), kale chips, green tea, extra jugs of water, my favorite salad dressing and soy sauce in case I might need them. Driving was easy, the Grillz and Goose would get their fast food and I would be all "No that's cool, I got these carrots". Except, we did stop for BBQ and I got the brisket which didn't need sauce and that was AWESOME. We got beef jerky, smoked brisket, and smoked turkey at Buc-ee's, and I snacked on one or two pieces they had that I could partake. Also, look at their min wage! Dining out wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but I know I messed up a little here and there only because I don't know what's in their sauce/glaze/rub or dressing. I stuck to seafood and salads when out (even so far as giving away things on my plate that I ordered and didn't realize they were wrong from what I thought in my head), except our picnic on the beach and I ordered a shrimp po'boy with intent of just getting the shrimp from it and feeding the bread to the birds. Lo and behold the shrimp was fried and I didn't realize it would be and had no choice. I was glad I had ordered the feta and olives appetizer, but still not the best choice. About 20 minutes after our picnic I had an AWFUL bellyache for a while. It was either from the shrimp batter (most likely) or the Feta, since I hadn't had cheese in 40+ days. Feta is on my list, but I hadn't tried it yet and now I can't tell if I reacted to that or the batter or both.

All in all, I got through it but it was really hard. I really would have liked the bacon or toaster strudel at breakfast, or the tortilla soup filled with cheese, or even the fresh tortillas but I just sat there and pretended it wasn't there. I enjoyed my chicken salads, my fajita strip salad with salsa, roast, and lots of seafood like scallops and seared tuna. Once, someone left a sliver of bacon on the counter and I picked it up and yelled "Who is trying to tempt me! STOPIT!" and I threw it on the table and not in my mouth so that's a TON of willpower there because BACON. It was very exhausting being so tough.

I laid around like this when we got back thinking of the missed opportunity of sneaked bacon for hours.

We walked about 6 miles one day just on the beaches alone, and the next day considerably less being we were in total seclusion and stayed in the same spot for about 3 hours. We went to NASA (I had a small cup of chili there, and I didn't get sick after so it must have been sort of okay) and walked all over the place. Then all the mall walking, and little town shopping so I stayed pretty active. I felt decent about the trip overall but I don't think I want to travel again for a while because food-wise, it was stressful. I guess it's easier for me to be at home where I can control it.

Now, onto my Healer checkup which was Monday. He got my Adrenal Stress Test results back, and I am in the early stages of Adrenal Fatigue which is kinda early for my age so its only a little concerning. He's given me a DHEA supplement to take to help keep it in balance for the time being. The Adrenal Fatigue links itself to, well fatigue for one, really low cortisol, hormone imbalance, sleep disturbances, etc. It's a wide range of symptoms, really, due to your body taking a hit and stressing out your Adrenals. Remember they are the boss of all the other glands, so getting them healthy will help straighten out the others. You can't fix your Thyroid without addressing the Adrenals, and you can't fix your Adrenals without addressing the Liver. But anyway, I am experiencing the fatigue a little sooner than I should be, thanks to the deterioration of my body from all my other illnesses. Nothing major but something to keep an eye on.

All the metals were cleared from my body, thanks to the Zeolite and I no longer have to continue that. But here's where it gets interesting. Healer pulled out his little kit for the first test we did, where he found the viruses/bacteria/mycoplasma and tried out a new test. He explained to me that he's been doing extensive research lately and came across a nasty bug that doesn't show up on his initial testing because of its "mutation". Of course I, as well as probably every person in the United States, have it. Great. That means you do too more than likely. Healer is retesting every one of his patients for it, and so far I think everyone's got it. He was explaining to me that the government had created this for weaponization...you know, for biological warfare? Yeah, well it got out and we have all been exposed to some degree. *sigh* While it's creepy and disgusting, I was in no way shocked. I mean, they genetically modify our food to be resistant to pesticides for crying out loud. They pump our animals with hormones which in turn get ingested by us humans. I really could go on, but I'll not.

Healer knows by now I was going to go home and read all about it, and I spent the rest of the day and yesterday with the heebie jeebies, as well as being utterly disgusted and angry but not shocked necessarily. Its not that I didn't already know the government had created other weapons like this, it's just that this particular one now directly affects me and my family. I am writing down questions I have to ask the Healer when I go back in, because my mind was racing with expletives over learning about this mycoplasma and I didn't think about them at the time.

Everything else is on hold until this gets fixed, which means I have to go back to weekly visits instead of every 3 weeks. My other issues are on the back burner, I can't address the pituitary or thyroid at this time because the results will be skewed. Top priority is getting this out of my brains (thalamus and cerebellum to be exact for me).

I'll touch on it a little bit but I will link the article I found as the best source of information. It is a "Laboratory-Made Disease Agent" not made to kill, just disable and cause a myriad of neurological/degenerative diseases ranging from simply chronic fatigue to fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, RA, Crohn's, even AIDS at its worst degree of exposure. Here is a snippet from it that made me absolutely angry:

Crystalline Brucella and Multiple Sclerosis

In 1998 in Rochester, New York, I met a former military man, PFC Donald Bentley, who gave me a document and told me: "I was in the US Army, and I was trained in bacteriological warfare. We were handling a bomb filled with brucellosis, only it wasn’t brucellosis; it was a Brucella toxin in crystalline form. We were spraying it on the Chinese and North Koreans."

He showed me his certificate listing his training in chemical, biological and radiological warfare. Then he showed me 16 pages of documents given to him by the US military when he was discharged from the service. They linked brucellosis with multiple sclerosis, and stated in one section: "Veterans with multiple sclerosis, a kind of creeping paralysis developing to a degree of 10% or more disability within two years after separation from active service, may be presumed to be service-connected for disability compensation. Compensation is payable to eligible veterans whose disabilities are due to service." In other words: "If you become ill with multiple sclerosis, it is because you were handling this Brucella, and we will give you a pension. Don’t go raising any fuss about it." In these documents, the government of the United States revealed evidence of the cause of multiple sclerosis, but they didn’t make it known to the public—or to your doctor.

I mean, really? "If you get sick from spraying this DISEASE at other people, don't get all angry and we will have the VA pay you something for being sick if you keep your mouf shut." That's not disheartening at all or anything. Way to really feel safe and secure, huh? Real nice to know that the VA cares so much about our disabled veterans to get to the bottom of their illnesses...oh wait. They don't apparently. I have first hand experience with Goose's disability, and the general lack of concern. I could tell you stories about his knee, but that's not for this blog. Take some time and read this, if you dare.

The good thing I can take from this is that I am SO GLAD the Healer is MY Healer because he's constantly researching and finding new information to help his patients. He once told me a story about how he went and extensively researched a natural way to attack stage 4 brain cancer with a patient, who was willing to try anything natural over traditional Chemo. As technology advances, so must research and I am lucky that at this point in my life I have him to help me. I am lucky he is constantly evolving and learning because that is what makes him so wonderful. At least he's not some old doctor just set in his ways and passing off a generic prescription to semi fix things. He's not a symptom chaser, he's not a quick fixer. I trust that he's going to get to the root of the illness, I've seen firsthand how that's worked. Had he not been researching, we would have gone on thinking everything was okay and missed it. Had he found out a year later, I would have had to go through all this over again. Great timing...

Sometimes I wonder if it would have been easier if I was oblivious about where my food comes from, how its processed, and what I've been exposed to versus knowing what I know and continue to find out. By now I just am not shocked anymore. I certainly feel better about myself and family for being educated (as little as I am obviously) and continuing to learn new things and share with them. It doesn't make me feel better knowing so many other people go on suffering in complete oblivion, relying on "miracle pills/drugs" to heal themselves regardless of the long list of side effects that cause one to need 43982 separate pills to counterbalance that. Then they wonder why they are still sick and do not realize they can fix it naturally.

Some people are just fine and dandy and would rather not know and that's okay. Sometimes I still wish I was that way, especially when I want junk food but can't rationally justify it. I can't fix everyone as my mom has said, but I can hope that I help at least one or two people learn something worthwhile who will in turn help one or two other people. This stuff is absolutely overwhelming at times and I certainly don't know everything I need to know about this path (LOOK Goose, I admitted I don't know everything! I need a gold star!) but I'm trying to learn. If you even go back to the first blog post, you'll see how my path has taken a different direction. Constantly evolving, right?

So that's that. For this week.

It's been 35 days since I've had cheese. It's been 35 days since I had any type of pig. To say my junk food cravings are gone is a joke. In fact this week was the worst week I've had in the "I need a son of baconator! No! I need some super gross Taco Bell nachos and a quesadilla! No wait! I got it, queso...melty gooey cheesy cheese dip from any mexican joint. I will have you know, I almost failed myself twice this week. Once, I took Goose to the airport for one of his work trips, and I thought "ooh breakfast, I can get some and no one will know..." I almost stopped twice. Almost. Then I found myself driving right past it all and the next thing I knew I was in my driveway. The next time, I was at Dierbergs, and I picked up a sammich with extra cheese and put it in my cart. I felt so guilty that I didn't even make it out of the aisle before putting it all back.

I did find a 98% safe remedy for chips and salsa. Expensive salsa made without weird junk, (and why should it have weird junk in it?) and Beanitos chips. Granted, that's still a "rare treat" because beans. But it's better than tortilla chips which I cannot have...because corn. You can bet your bippy when tomato season comes back, I will be making salsa for myself. Also hummus is a good alternative, with some broccoli and carrots. The other day, Goose told me he liked raw carrots better than cooked. I pondered it for half a second and said "I am an equal opportunist carrot consumer. I love them any way I can eat them." It's been a busy day and I've not had much other than an apple and a little bit of turkey stir fry from my leftovers container. Can you tell?

I didn't write this on Friday because I came home from the doc with my Adrenal Stress Test to do, and wanted to include that. So here's my update from Friday: Things are going super swell, and I don't need to come back for another two weeks since we are out of the crucial stage. That said, Healer did the DNA damage testing on me and I have brain damage!!! Whee! Well, no for real...due to the viruses hanging out in my brains, the DNA is damaged in there. Also some DNA damage in my lungs, DUH and my gallbladder, and another organ I have since forgotten. Just like when he reset my dopamine levels and voodoo'd my intestines, he did the same thing. Okay, they call it integrating, but thanks to Goose that just sounds all Math-y to me. But that's what he did to all my DNA damage. He reset it with his magical Healer powers. I have to believe it now, he's proven me otherwise several times with this "reset button".

At least I don't need resetting every 108 minutes.

I am to continue taking all the things until next time. I did run out of the ACS silver, but since my lung fungus is gone I don't need it unless I chose to have it as a maintenance dosage. Since my Tri-guard has silver in it already, I opted out of it this time. My liver cleanse drink, Protoclear, will be gone I think by Friday and that's it with my liver cleanse. Healer sent me home with a mega strong probiotic, in fact it's so strong I only have to take one pill a month. Every seven days it regenerates all its probiotic friends to do their magic to my flora in my gut and its one less thing a day I have to deal with. I talked to him about my oil pulling concerns, since coconut is a no-no for my blood type (I'm still dubious on that, since coconut is everyone's best friend, but that's for another day). Since I'm already taking the zeolite, right now oil pulling isn't a concern for me. Otherwise, I can use sesame oil as I suspected. But because I want to get on top of my tooth game, I took home curcumin because its the best ever and that's all that matters. Hahah! No no, I kid. That's for another post. All that is important now, is that its AMAZING for the body, and swishing with it in your mouth kills all that nasty bacteria you wanna get rid of.

Onto the Adrenal Stress Test. It's pretty easy, you wake up and follow the directions. Four times a day you must wear a cotton ball in your mouth til is soaked and place it lovingly in a vial marked "morning, noon, afternoon, midnight" respectively. For the noon test though I had to do a carb simulation test and eat 75 grams of carbs an hour before drooling on the cotton. They have a list so that's helpful and I chose the highest carb items because well I didn't want to be eating all day.
Not so much the case. True, I am limited by having to omit some of my regulars (here's looking at you, black pepper) but I'm not even missing it so far. Even though I can live off a salad every day, and I still like to try, I like to tinker around with stuff. I haven't really talked about what goes into our food planning, and I think I should. It's not much different than the paleo life we have been used to for over a year.

Of course, I have to shop weekly or a little less because I solely buy produce and we all know that doesn't keep so well. It makes shopping simple. I often get confused in the store when I need something that's not in the produce section, like maple syrup. One day Goose and I walked up and down the store twice looking for bottled water. It's with the pop btw which is STUPID. So honestly, I only know what's in my produce section and the two aisles dedicated to "organic/GF/etc". Oh, and I know the wine aisle but that's not relevant right now.

Since it's just me for breakfast/lunch I tend to be pretty boring. Like today, I had 1/2 a burger patty from this weekend I made up, topped it with a fried egg and onions and ate a small kale salad on the side. Later on I grabbed an apple. I also might have had a spoonful or two of almond butter...with a dab of chocolate in it. Don't judge, I needed a sweet.

I'm really lucky Goose loves the grill and the smoker. Seems like every other weekend we are replenishing our smoked meat stock. It makes lunches and dinner portions easy because I don't have to cook AS much at dinner unless I plan on the leftovers for breakfast or lunch for myself.

I guess I should include a rough description of the lunches I send with Goose to work. While he's not on this wellness plan with me, he's doing the Blood Type Diet Lifestyle as well, albeit with cheats. I do not cheat, I have invested too much money to do that. But alas, since he's not following my path to a T, he's allowed to sneak some goodies here and there. With that said, he still would much rather not eat fast food every day.

His lunch usually goes like this:

a nice portion of smoked meat (fish or chicken) or some leftover from dinner

sauteed broccoli or asparagus

another veggie like sweet potato, raw carrots or even some rice.

a hard boiled egg, 1/2 avocado if we have it

green onions and his beloved kimchi (Don't forget the kimchi, or I'm going to hear about it after work! :D ).

a fruit for snack

At work, Goose keeps a jar of almonds. So it's not difficult to stick to this style with some REALLY simple planning ahead. I'm not a menu planner by any means, and I manage to do okay.

A couple weeks ago, we checked out some spice shops downtown in search of some spices that don't have all that extra junk in them like at the store. I found a salt grinder there, and picked up some roasted chicken spices that were acceptable for even me to eat. Do you know how hard it is to find pre-made spices that don't have black pepper?

4 chicken thighs
1 sweet potato, cubed
2 C kale, stems removed
1/2 onion, thinly sliced
2-3 TBSP EVOO
1/4 C of spices of your choice

I tossed 4 thighs (I probably only needed to do 3 but I did an extra one for my lunch) in EVOO and the spices and then roasted them in the oven at 400 for maybe 25 minutes. I didn't pay that close attention because I used my thermometer to pull them out at 160 degrees. While that was roasting I sauteed the sweet potatoes until they were soft and starting to brown. Once I removed the sweet potatoes from the pan, and right away added the kale and onions and tossed them, Once the kale started to wilt (it won't wilt much because kale is a super food and it's super strong!) I put the sweet potatoes back in and gave it a stir and topped that with my finished chicken
Good news to report, all the pathogens/viruses/bacteria detected in Day 1's test is cleared from my body! Now to focus on Phase II of this detox. Everything was gone last week except for the virus, and that's finally gone. Good. Get outta here! I didn't want you in my brains anyway!

Today I did the NeuroLink testing for toxins and metals in my body, and boy do I have some doozies! No surprise here, considering the country we live in, and its love for crap food. Last week he had sent me home with some Zeolite(ACZ) to draw out the heavy metals I have in my system. Those include: PCB's, fluoride, aluminum, cadmium, mercury, lead, and *drumroll* pesticides! Thanks SAD. You've really done your job at attempting to ruin my life. Sucks for you, I'm fighting back!

I've been dealing with some intestinal issues that I'm not sure I really want to get into detail over on a blog, but it's an issue that Healer is working on with me. Last week I brought it up to him, and I got some decent results this week. It's still not functioning normally like it should be because of some chemical imbalances but...hey, did you know your intestines have these valves called "The Valve of Houston" and the "Ileocecal Valve"? I would like to quote the Goose when I first mentioned that these valves are out of whack "Houston, we have a problem." Hahah! So today, the Healer adjusted me (it was GLORIOUS) stating that my L5 was out of alignment, and that actually effects the intestines position so this should also help.

I've been a wee bit run down this week, or it's lack of motivation maybe. I wasn't sure but I made sure to tell the Healer anyway because I didn't want to have any emotional issues again because that first week was so awful! I also wondered if it had something to do with adding the ACZ and the ACG (Glutothione) to my routine as well. New helpers to attack the bad guys, maybe I reacted by being tired-ish. Anyway I let him know, I didn't feel I was remotely where I thought I should be as far as the weight loss slump I'm in. I told the Healer, I was realistic that it wouldn't just start dropping during Phase I because my liver had to straighten itself out, but given that I've been incredibly strict on my diet (not a single cheat day like we used to) I would have expected to see SOMETHING change. Healer told me "this tells me then that the Adrenals and Thyroid are most likely really off balance and we need to work on getting those fixed." Of course, I am also aware that my intestines need to get fixed too and I should start seeing results. But c'mon, I'm a month into this now and I just thought I would see SOME change. I'm being patient, because as I pointed out there's still toxins/metals in me that need to GO AWAY.

Only because they didn't have one in stock in the office, did I not go home with a super cool Adrenal test kit. So next week I will be taking a test kit home to send off my spit to some lab who will tell the Healer what's up with my Adrenal Glands. Next week will also be fun because he wants to test how badly my DNA has been damaged and work on reversing said damage. I'm gonna guess lots, thanks virus!

wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-27749813431604051842014-02-21T22:26:00.001-06:002014-02-21T22:31:30.702-06:00Day 21! Well I made great strides! I am officially now in Phase II but let me start from the beginning.

Today's appointment was seemingly normal, with the regular NeuroLink checkup. This week however, the Healer says my virus is completely superficial and nearly gone. Also, the fungus in my lungs appears to be CLEAR! Wha? I just thought I felt the same all week. I didn't feel any different from last week, but apparently the medicine is doing its job! I never thought it would be clear so soon. Since the fungus is out of my lungs, I can stop the Silver as a breathing treatment and continue with it orally as normal. I can't say I feel different, like I said. So I am still slightly skeptical. But as I said last week, I am noticing more dry coughs than I'm used to. So it's something. I don't expect to be completely cleared up in a snap though.

So, to recap: No more bacteria, no more fungus, and practically no more virus! This isn't to say that when these pathogens leave my body we might find more. It's very possible. But at this point the ones I am treating are getting out of here! I am having some issues in my intestines (remember how he picked up a little virus last week) that he did his fun Voodoo on, so we shall see if that fixes itself.

Since things are going so well, the Healer started me on the detox portion. This includes two more sprays to take: ACG which is Glutathione. Its the natural antioxidant in your body that's been utterly depleted thanks to the modern living and crap we put in our bodies. It gets so overworked that it kinda gives up in your system. So I am now taking that 4 times a day. One time a day I am going to try to nebulize it to get it into my lungs, so long as I don't have a weird reaction. We shall see! The other spray I am taking is ACZ, Zeolite. It will bind to all the heavy metals in my body and pull them out through the urine. I am curious to see if this changes my body like when I first started on these medications.

Now I am taking 10 different things 2, 3, and 4 times a day! WHEE! No time to do much else but take these fun things!

The outside air has been beautiful this week, I was loving the walks I could take. Well, except for the fact that I'm not used to all these hills and my hip sockets were mad at me the next day! NO MOAR COLD!

Movin' on up! wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-63570817724466539852014-02-14T20:14:00.001-06:002014-02-21T21:42:37.605-06:00Day 14

My growing supplement stack. Pool sign not included.

Big jumps today, says the Healer! WHEE! This week was completely different from last week. I had energy, enough that I actually worked out EVERY day this week instead of being lethargic and stuck on the couch last week, sobbing over every single thing. I didn't go crazy, like I suspected. I just felt back to seemingly normal. I had a belly ache last night, but emotionally...nothing like last week.

I went into today with my Lung Folder to show him my findings. He was not the least bit surprised. It really validated what I am doing is right for me. He explained that the docs needed to associate a name with what's going on with me. I am starting to wonder if I even have Bronchiectasis....let's wait and see.

He went on to retest me, and he was SO happy that my virus is now out of the DNA and on its way out of my body. This is a big deal! The sooner I can rid the virus from my body the sooner I can detox. The fungus is now only located in my lower lungs, which makes sense because of my x-rays that is the main concentration of my illness . I had noted that the last couple of days, I am coughing more dry coughs (that's a normal cough to most everyone) than I usually do. Normally for me, when I am dry coughing it's SO rare that it is painful for my throat. Not to say, I'm having less "normal Bri coughs" ...just more "normal human being coughs". So let's hope that this fungus GETS OUTTA MY LUNGS! The bacteria I had is gone. GONE I SAY! Whee! So I am right on track still. He did find a bit of a virus in my gut which was probably my gut issues last night.

Did I say the bacteria is GONE?!?! In two weeks, I've healed myself of the bacteria, and the other stuff is working its way out. Why have I not done this sooner? Why is this "alternative medicine" now and not "normal medicine"? Why isn't this a normal practice anymore? Why are people so swayed by the Western Medicine practices? Why take the quick fix that only allows more problems to arise? Chemo? No, I'll never. Especially not now. Sorry, but I'm taking this route forever. Western Medicine can suck it.

I could tell the Healer was checking my dopamine levels to see if I was off balance. Side note, a couple days ago I dared to read an article about a poor dog that is probably going to die from a tumor, and I only got misty eyed and did not bawl. Anything dog related, if a dog is hurting, I usually cannot read or watch or see photos because I have such a reaction to them. Maybe because I knew there was a good ending to the story...maybe it was because my dopamine levels were fixed. I still got mildly (but normally) emotional, but it was so minute on the scale of last week I can't even count it. Anyway, the Healer was checking my levels and I KNEW I passed that test! I didn't even study for it!

He added two more supplements to my routine, and I had to make out a new chart. I am taking all the things, plus a probiotic and some blended essential fatty acids. It's probably good for me because I don't eat enough sea food as I should. I can't wait to see what next week has in store for me!

You guys, I just found something that blew my mind. Remember me saying there is a fungus in my lungs and the Healer is treating it with ACS Silver? Remember how the post I made just a few hours ago said the fungus was healing and in less places? Well, I was perusing through our file cabinet looking for additional tax info for our appointment tomorrow, when I came across my old lung files. I have a copy of them because someone might need to know. I thought, "oh cool I should take this with me next week to show him, he may want copies." I decided to leaf through it just for fun when I came across this page here:
My jaw dropped so far down I thought it was going to go through the floor into the main floor. So, they thought I possibly had a fungal infection back in 1998? I'll have you know, that the Healer only knew that I have Bronchiectasis and nothing else. Because to my knowledge that was all I knew as well. The fact that I have this paper from 1998 with the fungal infection as one of the possible reasons for my lung issues, and the fact that was the first thing he found in my lungs down to the type of fungus, well it just amazes me. Makes it pretty clear to me he knows what he's doing, and the tests he's doing on me are more than just Voodoo! I don't think I need much more concrete proof to trust this guy. He is going to FIX ME!!! AMAZING find. I can't wait to take this in and show him!wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-38996024507155914852014-02-07T16:43:00.001-06:002014-02-09T13:10:52.415-06:00Day 7

Well, here I am back again to report how my first week of phase 1 went! If you're missing out, I suggest you start at the beginning by reading here, here, and here to catch up.

Week one went as well as can be expected. I actually wrote out day 1's post and had to go back in later and edit it because I was SO TIRED when I wrote it out. I noticed a couple days later I left out about half of the information. So, day 1 I was extremely sleepy all day. I didn't know if that was coincidence or not, because how could I be so tired that fast? Beats me! I took a nap that day, I never nap. The next day was a lazy Sunday and the next thing I know, I am taking another nap! 5 out of the 7 days I took a nap and the other two I was in bed BEFORE 9pm. So I would say, that the sleepiness was in fact related to the toxins moving out of my body, or the meds kicking in and attacking them.

I had another strange reaction, that I didn't know was related until my appointment today. Tuesday, I thought I was fine and Goose came home and casually mentioned he had taken care of something without me that, normally I wouldn't even get frustrated about. Instead, I burst into tears and my feelz were so hurt that you would have thought someone had attacked me and left my leg broken in 4 places. Yes, I have a hairline trigger for tears as it is, but I was VERY upset and I didn't know why. I blamed it on that fun time of the month when girls get really irritated, got over it and moved on. Except the next night, I got very angry about how I was making the bed back after washing the sheets. I mean, making the bed isn't a big deal. Why was I so uptight about it? I got so angry that Goose started teasing me about it (again somethingdI'd just laugh off), unbeknownst to both of us what would happen next. I then burst into tears. Not just normal tears; hysterical wailing tears as if someone died, tears. I was a mess and ended up crying myself to sleep only to wake up the next morning STILL upset and cried some more, stared out the window, cried some more and then stared out the window some more until I realized I was better. There was no real trigger as to why I freaked out, I just did. I am positive I was a pure nightmare for Goose who had no idea why I was being so weird. I'M SORRY I WAS SUCH A WHACKO, GOOSE! I still heart you! I should have known it was because of this cleanse, but this was a part I did not expect. So after crying basically 3 days straight, today's appointment couldn't come soon enough so I could ask. My puffy eyes and leaky ducts needed a break.

It's not a good look for anybody, really.

I went in to the Healer's office and he asked how I was doing this week and the first thing out of my mouth was "Um, well I was sleepy lots, but I also was hysterically crying for 3 days and I don't know why. Is that part of this? Because WHOA." He said, "For some people, they will have an emotional response along with everything else. You're fine. This means you're probably improving, lets check you out." I sighed a big PHEW and hoped this crying crap will be over soon. He tested me again with the NeuroLink test and checked my current problems' levels. One of the viruses had gone down quite a bit, meaning last week the virus was deeply rooted inside my DNA and just over the course of a week I was able to pull it out from inside the DNA and now its sitting superficially on top of it. I still have more work to do to pull it from my system altogether so he readjusted my dosage on the homeopathic remedy he had whipped up for me last week. He explained the numbers were a major change. Last week I was at 96MM (BAD) and this week I was at 76M (much better, but not out of the woods). He wanted to focus on this virus because it was the stronger of the two I have going on. He also told me that the fungus was in less spots, so that is also improving as well! (Let's give a big high five to ACS Silver! *high fives* Keep attacking the junk in my lungs, ACS!) He then went on to check out my head, and the neurotransmitters and found that my dopamine levels were all out of whack so with his Voodoo, he reset my levels and hopefully I won't be a sobbing psycho about every little thing that happens.

I am right on track for what he expects of me. My med intakes stay the same, so still the crazy 2, 3, and 4 times a day on everything. I can't say I have noticed anything significant going on in my lungs because I am just so used to it, it's hard to gauge if there's any change. I'm used to coughing, I'm used to being stopped up, I'm just used to it. I have lived all my life with it, so I don't even notice most times when I cough. So I can't make heads or tails if it's working, or if I feel different because to me, it's all the same. Not much else has changed on my end, I couldn't really work out this week on account of all the sleeping I've been doing, or how lethargic I was during the day. I should be able to jump right back into that next week with no trouble. Hopefully my energy levels will start to spike! I'm pumped for week two and to see what weird stuff happens to me this week!
Of course going into this, I had no idea what he would actually be doing. I like to say it's Voodoo because it just looks that crazy to someone standing there. I can't even really begin to explain the test but I did find it very fascinating! You know, a normal person would have said "What is that? What are you doing to me?" I totally didn't! I was just so excited to get it done so I could see what gross stuff is inside me!

Once the test was over, we went over my labs from the other day and his findings during this test. My labs looked pretty good. I was low on Vitamin B, which the Healer thought strange knowing I eat greens all the time. He told me he didn't want me to freak out a couple of times, and I was just so fascinated with it that I didn't even think about it. He explained to me that "Imagine the brain is your hardware, and everything else in your body is software. You can't fix the software if there's a virus in the hardware, right?" He then went on to tell me I have a virus in my cranial nerves (and that this is no surprise because most everyone has some kind of virus strain in the brain), that needs fixing. I also have another virus in my liver, pancreas, bone marrow, lymphatics, and the beta cells. It's fascinating he found all this with his voodoo test. Of course I have some bacteria in my body and a fungus in my lungs. The fungus was no big shocker, given my lung disease and my overall health.

He put me on some home made homeopathic remedies that he brewed up himself for the viruses . It's not some over the counter generic medicine. They are remedies catered to me, and what my body needs! He will change up the potency each week as my body improves. I LOVE THAT. To kill the bacteria, I was given an herbal supplement. It tastes awful. It has tea tree oil in it so, gag. I just deal with it. For my lungs, he put me on ACS (advanced cellular silver) to nebulize in my breathing machine along with taking it orally. I'm really glad he's making me take the ACS. It's like a one-two punch to my lungs, since that was my original reason to see the doctor. I spent a lot of time on their FAQ sheet, and I approve this silver. I am also doing a liver cleanse for phase 1 which consists of some powder like drink mix twice a day. I chose the berry flavor. The ALL NATURAL ingredients list on it is insane. I know I'm getting my fill of vitamins and minerals. On top of that I'm taking a special Vitamin B since I don't seem to digest folate well, or something I don't think I'm wording that right. Everyone knew I was defective, this proves it. I need the L-5 MTHF type, apparently. Like I said...greens on the daily. I shouldn't have this issue, but I do. HMM. And lastly, I'm taking Vitamin D three times a day, which I'm glad but I would rather just be outside all day and it be summer always.

It's a lot to remember so of course I had to make myself a chart! I have it on the wall in a clear sleeve, too. I have to take everything 2, 3, and 4 times a day because it's hard to keep up which is which! I have 7 supplements, the ACS I am taking two different! Whoa.

I got up this morning and started my day one! It's been a lazy day, since it's the weekend so I don't know if I am just tired because of the lazy day or if that stuff made me sleepy. I mean, I never take naps and this morning after taking my first dose I sat on the couch watching Modern Marvels, and while it was fascinating and I sat through two, I ended up just falling asleep. Like I said, not sure it's related. Guess we will see tomorrow! Other than that, there's no changes yet. Okay fine, it's a little early to tell!

Be back with an update and next Healer appointments findings. Stand By, I know you're on the edge of your seat!wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-39258070579286619942014-01-31T22:30:00.000-06:002014-02-05T18:58:45.781-06:00LAST SUPPER.I am human and I have needs. Before I start my new life tomorrow, I'm being honest. We went to dinner at a Chinese buffet. I wish I could say I enjoyed it more...the robust woman and friend with her in the booth next to me ruined my "last supper" experience. They chose during their meal time to call up someone on speaker and then scream their life stories, full of expletive's (don't get me wrong, I like a good explicative or two myself, but in...public...REALLY?) about some hoochie that hooked up with some other hoochie's mama. Sorry "ladies" but I'm trying to talk to my Goose about what happened to me earlier today which to me is more important than impressing some dude about how much you don't care...

So there was a lot of "LATER I'LL TELL YOU ABOUT the. . . YEAH THE REST OF THE BUFFET WANTS TO KNOW TOO! Let's see if they have a karaoke, I can just share it with everyone!"

"Oh, what? You didn't hear the last five minutes of what I said, goose? Sorry...let's just cut this date short and go." Seriously, I had to YELL to get him to hear what I said...most of what I wanted to talk about was private.

WE LEFT.

I was most annoyed because I wanted to stuff myself of chinese food I can't have later, and enjoy my findings with the hubbs. We even made an EARLY date to avoid these idiots. So much for that.

All this week I have taken advantage of my last meals. I had Mexican food, biscuits and gravy (which made me later sick!), OJ, Chinese, skittles(cuz that's my only sugar weakness), anything pork, wine...okay red wine is OKAY on my list but not during my liver cleanse and detox so it will be forever til I can imbibe!

The Chinese buffet was good enough. I think I can replicate some of them to get my eventual cravings in order. The loud talker just really ruined all my last "Dinner date for a while" experience.

For a bit I'm probably only going to want to eat here, where I can control portions and ingredients. It's a pretty cool thing I am part rabbit as it is and love me a good salad. I can meet most meal requirements with my salad obsession. Strange that is the one thing I love and partake in most of all!
Since we are two different blood types, I thought well this will SUCK for us eating...do I make him one meal while I eat another? I then laughed and said, "don't be silly, you won't make TWO dinners at night...PSH!" So I thought the best thing to do was to write down every single "allowed" and "neutral" food (which is still allowed, it just won't hurt you nor will it benefit you) on both our lists. I then cross referenced them to see what foods we would have in common. Turns out, more than I thought.

I thought, wouldn't it be nice if I could shop for us off of what we DO have in common instead? Well yes, but that's a lot of memorization, and I don't do well on test day. I'd get to the grocery store and forget everything I memorized!

*idea bulb*

What if I wrote out a permanent grocery list of the foods we share? Great plan, but I always leave my written out list on the kitchen counter when I go. What if I had it printed off, and laminated or a clear sleeve so it's preserved? YES! Keep going! What if I could mark on it with my dry erase markers what I know I need and then when I'm at the store I don't stray! BRILL! Wait. What if I forget it though? Oh, hang it up on your key rack. You can't forget it then. Sub conscience, you are SO SMART.

So I used my handy dandy spreadsheet, listed everything by category, and wrote down our common foods, even the ones we don't like or even know. I even went so far as to bold the foods that were on BOTH our "allowed" list. That way, I know when I am shopping I can think, "Hey girl, kale is great for both of you, grab some anyway. OOOH, there's the broccoli! Get that too! Hey ginger, come home with me, you'll like it!" (that was not my suave attempt to bring home a red-head)

On the back of it I listed the separate foods that he can have and I can't, and vice-versa. For instance, I should be having red meat and he doesn't digest it well so he shouldn't have it at all. He can have grains if he so wanted, but I should never have them. Of course the red meat poses a problem because Goose is a mans man, and enjoys steaks and and deer and so on. Our compromise, is that I will eat that when he's at work so he's not sad about it. We both thrive on seafood. This is an adjustment for me who has been burnt out on seafood for a while. I'll deal with it...I have found I LOVE smoked fish, and well Goose is a grill master, and he has perfected the art of smoking meats. So either way we all win.

I know this will make my life easier, as well as shopping AND sharing with people who just don't quite understand this change. No it doesn't mean that I am going to be living off of buffalo, kale, sweet potatoes, and pineapples all my life. It means that this is what I have to choose from and my choices are really vast compared to SOME diets. I'm lookin' at you HCG. I have the ability to make lots of yummy recipes and never get bored of what is on my list. Yes, I'm going to miss cheese and oranges and pig most of all. However, even knowing since October what was in store for me, I started eliminating those items and I noticed when I brought them in the change I felt in my body. I KNOW this is the path I am supposed to take for my wellness.

Here's our list:

WHOA, how long has it been since I have written?!? A long, long time. My three followers were probably going into shock waiting. I apologize. We have moved and settled into our new house and I have enjoyed every second of it. I have been extremely busy regardless of not working anymore and it seems like we have had company almost every weekend. This really threw me off my good-eatin' train big time. I completely derailed once we got here. *slaps self* It was all fine and dandy until mid-summer. I was walking until it was too hot for the dog to go with me, and we were in the hotel most of the summer so I didn't want to leave her in the room. The swimming in the pool helped a lot, but still I stopped working out altogether. I am ashamed. *hangs head*

Right now, I am just shocked at how I let things go and frankly embarrassed that I threw all my health by the wayside post-move. I got so busy planning, packing, unpacking, organizing, enjoying shopping, trying new restaurants, and all the other stuff that wasn't real food/work out related that the next thing I knew, I wasn't happy with myself. So many excuses, and there's no apology to myself big enough for it.

In late October, I met with my new Chiropractor and let me tell you, I was chomping at the bit for the holidays to be over so I could go back to him and start his Wellness Program. When I say that, I mean I literally went home and ordered the "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" book that he follows with his program. I am 99.6% sure my blood type so I studied that list inside and out! I am planning to document weekly how I am doing with this program, so cross your fingers I remember to do it! I am curious how things change and I feel documenting them in the blog will just help me see where I was vs. where I am in the end. I probably won't post all my measurements and personal stuff because NOT YER BIDNASS! Maybe I will after I feel better.

Enough of the back story. Today, I went in for my first meeting with the chiro. I learned what I will be doing as far as HIS wellness program goes. When I go back, I will go in detail over that. But for now, the most important parts are 1. sleep 2. hydrate with purified water 3. exercise 4. get your Vitamin D levels up 5.eat REAL FOOD. Luckily I am slightly ahead of that and it won't be as taxing on me as some other people. I already know what food/exercise is required of me. I know I should be hydrating more than I am and have been working on it. For the most part I get enough sleep, but I need to turn it around as in "go to sleep sooner/wake earlier" Sleeping at 1230am to 8am isn't really ideal for me because I still have to force myself to get up at 735am at my alarm and still lay there til 8am. For shame. I know some of you are thinking, "what a lush, sleeping in til 735! That jerk!" Hey, it's better than sleeping til 11am...just sayin' is all. I need to slap myself around and tell myself "workouts at 830am!". Unless its walking outside, then I want it to be mid day and hot! I'm back into my workout videos, so that's also a step ahead.

I also got the basic panel done so that the chiro can contour the wellness program for me. Funny thing, most nurses can't find my blood veins and end up murdering my arm before they get any blood. I warned the nurse of this, so she spent more time investigating my teeny tiny deep in the tissue veins before saying "I'm not going to try to poke you 100 times, let me get the vein whisperer." She went to get another nurse who also spent a few minutes looking for the best place and got my blood on the first stick. NICE! Three vials of blood and some stolen urine later, I was finished with my end. However, tonight I have this great blood blister from where the BANDAGE came off. Huh? The needle hole is red, but then there's this giant blood blister next to it. STRANGE. Anyway, they tested for a variety of things that will be discussed next appointment.

With that, you are caught up on my current health crap. :D I hope to get back into the blogging along with the other things I just gave up on. I think it helps that we got the PC working again, 6 months later! wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-19988294278338135572013-08-22T08:13:00.000-05:002013-08-22T08:13:00.194-05:00Wanna know more? I was perusing through my FB news feed, like I do all the time :D and I came across this link from PaleoHacks.com. This little short e-read is a great book to check out if you're just curious about what the Paleo/Primal diet is. It's pretty short and sweet, great for beginners to read. I don't think I could explain it any better than this! So, if you're wondering what foods you can or can't eat, you'll find out here. It's amazing how I don't feel limited with foods, like other diets. "Oh, I'm cutting back carbs and calories, I need to count them to make sure I don't go over!" No more. I don't even count calories or fats anymore! I know everything I going into my body is REAL food and those fats and calories are good for me. I am eating the way my body was intended to eat and I like how I feel because of it, plain and simple.

http://blog.paleohacks.com/sq/

You will have to enter an email to get access to the book, but you can opt out of future emails at anytime.wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-81538380376652593722013-08-19T11:53:00.001-05:002013-08-19T11:53:25.380-05:00Back in the saddle. Again.Man, things have been CRAY around here. I have been so incredibly busy but now I am back and ready to blog! It's been a very busy summer and my workouts and super clean eating all but halted. Basically I failed my workout challenge I gave myself. We were living back and forth between the old house and the hotel. I did pretty well the first couple weeks at the hotel with the workouts, doing some swimming and taking advantage of the gym but then things got so hectic (and the chromebook broke down again, had to get it replaced) that I just had to stop. Even though we had a kitchenette in the little hotel room, and we went to the farmers market on the regular, we still went out to eat a lot. And we craved ice cream. To say that I was knocked off my routine is an understatement. Now that we are into our new house, and things have settled into a normal routine, I am jumping right back into our lifestyle.

Paleo Challenge starts again today, this time much easier since my pantry is already stocked and all the junk is gone. Goose had a ton of success with it. He lost almost 30 lbs just with changing his food diet. I sure hate calling it a diet. It's not...it's OUR way of living. So starting today we are back into our clean eats, crossfit, and following the strict food challenge for 30 days. After that, we can be a bit more giving on our food stuffs, like potatoes, cheese, and the occasional rice, and sometimes treats.

I am going begin the Crossfit Challenge again because I did so well last time. I also will start up the 30 day squat challenge too. You can google those exact words to find the photo with the challenge. If summer comes back around, I am going to include pool workouts to my routine. It's been COLD this August! I also can't wait to check out my new neighborhood. There seems to be a lot of people jogging or walking the main road out of my neighborhood, and it looks fun too! Lots of little hills and valleys. Also, this new house keeps me moving too! According to my fitbit, I am averaging 22-24 flights of stairs a day...whoa!

Time to get crackin'!wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-3594815732056573932013-04-30T13:57:00.001-05:002013-04-30T13:57:44.226-05:00Computers are trying to kill my workout plans.

Last time I posted I was week three into my workout challenge. So much has changed. I managed to get to five weeks, but couldn't post about it and then all the things tried to die all at once.

My chromebook had issues. I couldn't really do much from my phone. Week four, I felt stronger. I chose to change my light resistance band to the medium and I totally felt it in my CLX. Then week five came around and it was HEAVY SETS (I guess I was on the right track) and less reps. So hard and challenging, and I loved it. Then, the server I was using for my workouts went kaput. Like in a big way...I was so bummed. BUT! Instead of giving up all together, I decided to do something else that didn't require a video player.

I started cross fit. And because I'm a big weenus about cross fit in general (I've seen some of the hardcore videos) I chose to do a ten day kiddie cross fit...like, a 10 year old kid wrote it up. I have no shame, I will start out on a kiddie level! :) It didn't require weights or equipment I didn't have or couldn't afford. It required your shoes and your body. Easy enough, I thought. This kiddie cross fit is NO JOKE....I breezed (and when I say breezed, I mean panted and heaved and ho hummed right on past my physical limits--pushups I still hate you.) through that 10 days and then I was hooked. Cross fit is now my BFF. It just doesn't know it.

I immediately picked up after day 10, I was so excited I didn't take a rest day, and started the 30 day level 1 Cross Fit Challenge and for the fun of it, decided I also needed to do a 30 day squat challenge. I am currently on day 26, with no giving up! Sure I have just really walked instead of run the miles but if I couldn't run a whole mile before hand, what makes you think I'm ready to do that yet!?! The couch to 5k will be my May challenge, on top of these last few days. I've also decided I need to do these squats with resistance bands when this month is over, and I will either re-do this 30 day or try out the Level Two...I haven't decided. Either way, I am going ALL OUT.

P.S. It really helped to have my fren doing it alongside with me, even though she's a whole six hours away from each other and not really beside me...*shifty eyes* Whatever man, we get on the chatterbox and say "I DID THIS! DO YOU?" "Oh not yet, wait let me bust out the workout now!" "YEAH! YOU CAN DO IT!" and so on and so forth, but with a ton more humor because we are both hilarious and know it.
wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794734575808626789.post-60151593027698358362013-02-25T10:55:00.001-06:002013-02-25T11:04:31.642-06:00Almond butter cups

Okay, I know I've seen several "peanut butter cups" online. All of which look great, but I never got them to turn out right. Or they weren't paleo friendly. Mostly because I am probably lazy and don't take the time to make them correctly? Or I never have those cupcake liners. I think it's just that my chocolate was always the wrong consistency. Whatever. Either way, the two times I tried to make them cute, I'd end up with a huge dollup of chocolate on the bottom and the sticky almond butter too thick, and then no tops so to speak for them. I tried something different this time.

2/3 C cocoa powder
1/3 C coconut oil, melted
4 TBSP honey (or maple syrup)
This is my base recipe for any chocolate I make. Depending on the sweetener/more or less oil you use, you can make it really runny or really thick. I needed it more on the thin side this time so I used a bit more oil.

Mix til smooth and tasty, adjust your sweet the way you like it.

I poured my chocolate (which was really runny!) into a greasy pie pan just enough to cover the whole pan.

Then I dolluped about 1/4 - 1/2 C of almond butter (this kind was crunchy!) into several spoonfuls to try to cover as much of the chocolate as I could. I flattened it out a little where I could and then poured the remainder of my chocolate liquid on top to cover the almond butter.

This worked out so much easier than trying to stuff individual cupcake cups. I'm sure it's not as cute of a presentation, but still. Stick it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to harden and then cut into squares.

My end result ended up looking like this:

It tasted like YUM.

Maybe I will call them Breeze's Almond Butter Squares: the "reeses" for lazy ladies everywhere!

Here is a pretty easy recipe too. I tend to buy the chocolate in pure powder form, so I can make a variety of things and not have to melt it. I've also become a stickler for whats in my chocolate so I have avoided any with sweeteners. Yes, my semi sweet dark chocolate chips are on standby til I can find some without cane sugar or yucky oil. You not paleo, or semi-paleo will like this recipe too, but when its as easy as 3 ingredients to make your own sweet chocolate, why bother?
What I will say is I CANNOT get into the Fire45 for the life of me. I don't know what it is about that workout, but OMG I just glaze over and would rather run in place for 45 minutes. Which I actually did Monday. HEY! At least I still worked out. And I of course did the fire drills. Okay, I did some of the workout, but for the most part I just ran in place for 45 minutes. I'm changing it up this week.

I did get a fun different workout in on Saturday, actually I only call it a workout because I got sweaty. We went sledding. Well, "icing" is the better term. Thursday WinterStormQ mauled us with ice pellets, I kid you not there was three minutes of snow...the rest was sleet and ice. It looked like a sno-cone machine exploded. So, the yards were solid ice sheets. We would step out of our door and get down to the sidewalk (which was clear, thanks Goose!) and step over to the ice, and we basically skateboarded down the yard to the curb. Our yard is fun and slope-y like that. So we took off to the park with our sleds and dog in tow and had a blasty blast of a workout. I don't know how many flights of stairs I climbed, but by today my arms are sore from the sledding. We really had a great time because it was so icy, we just went on and on forever!

Monday:
Fire 45 --can't say this is really my favorite at all. I struggled getting through it. There's others I like better.
Burn Circuit 1 --no big thang! I pumped iron right along with them!

Tuesday:
HIIT 20 + stretch -- I NEEDED the stretch after this one! I was huffing and puffing all over! Love these HIITs!
Ab Burn -- all I have to say is ow.

Wednesday:
I exchanged Fire 45 for Fire 60, much better! I love that one the most I think. Nothing was really dry at all afterward.
Burn Circuit 2 --not long after I finished this workout my arms turned to jello and my legs were on fire. I call that a success.

Thursday:
HIIT 15 -- short, super intense. I feel like I'm cheating on those but I know how effective they are
Burn it off -- this is real similar to a HIIT but a little longer and less crazy...good day for it and I really felt everything from the day before

Friday:
Fire 30 -- easy little workout to get my blood going
Burn Circuit 3 -- I only thought I was jello-y on Wednesday....

Saturday:
Okay, this isn't done yet but if I don't do it I'll not be able to walk. Can't go wrong with 40 min of yoga and stretching.

This came across my newsfeed on FB, and I just need to pass along the info. This is precisely why we stopped shopping processed foods. This is exactly why we CHOOSE to buy local, organic, pesticide-free. This is why, after almost two months of straight REAL eating, anything else gives us stomach aches. We aren't used to the toxins in "food". Why are we allowing these toxins, banned in SO MANY countries, but not here? Why do we have to allow it in our family? We don't. You shouldn't have to either.

Why people don't shop organic and local is beyond me. It costs too much? If you stop buying the processed foods, guess what? You have that money leftover for real food. The cost of organic, the cost of local, the cost of grass-fed meat evens itself out. I live on a shoestring budget, and we buy 90% organic, local, fresh foods each week. Sure there's things that cost more, but in the long run, its going to help you. In the long run, you won't be spending money on medical bills, prescriptions, or weight loss aides. Shop the perimeter or the store. Read labels. Figure out "code names" they use to hide the junk. Be smart. Read this article. Soak it in. Take control of your food. Don't throw in the towel and say, "well it's next to impossible to avoid all those things in our food, so why bother?". If just one person changed their habits, and got excited about it and convinced one more person to do the same...what a nice health pandemic we would have on our hands.

Thank you, interwebs for being available for us to gain knowledge, and be smarter about ourselves.

I am sure, as most of the world has heard, probiotics are all the rage these days. What with Jaime Lee Curtis promoting Activia like its the next Micheal Myers movie...don't get me wrong, I'd love to see her adorable grey head fight that jerk all over the big screen but, wait. That's not what this blog is about! *slaps self* Probiotics! For those who live under a rock or just don't ask google, I'll summarize: Super healthy live bacteria that we would call "good bacteria" that helps balance out you gut.

For a more specific answer:

"live microorganisms, which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host." Yes, they are actually alive, and most of these microorganisms are bacteria. Most people think of antibiotics and antibacterial products when you mention bacteria. Both of those kill bacteria so why would you want to consume anything that has live bacteria in it? It's all about balance.

Our digestive system normally has what we would call "good" bacteria and "bad" bacteria. Maintaining the correct balance between the "good" bacteria and the "bad" bacteria is necessary for optimal health. Things like medications, diet, diseases, and your environment can upset that balance.

Within your gastrointestinal tract, there is intestinal microflora or microbiota. This complex ecosystem contains over 400 bacterial species. Small amounts can be found in your stomach and small intestines, but the majority is found in your colon. The intestinal microflora aid in digestion, synthesize vitamins and nutrients, metabolize some medications, support the development and functioning of the gut, and enhance the immune system."

There you have it. It has been around for eons, and we are introduced to it at birth (unless via C-Section...another reason to research, moms-to-be!) but with conventional medicine, lack of sleep, and this processed food we were stupid enough to invent, we've just ruined all the natural ways our bodies were made to protect us. I am all for introducing probiotics back into our system, but in the right way. Let''s start with why you'll never see me try Jaime Lee's Activia yogurt. Sure, its all the rage. Get your probiotics while eating this yogurt! But if you are trying to be as healthy as you can be, you'll know Activia isn't the way to go. It seems over rated for what little it seems to do. And if you've done ANY research, you know that when people promote anything "light and fit" or whatever, that means they are pumping it full of awful stuff that just makes it worse. Fake sugar, additives, etc. Ew. No thanks. And to think I used to be the kind of person who thought Lean Cuisines were better, and low fat/fat free was really awesome for those looking to get healthier. Now, I can't deal with knowing I'm doing more harm with "health foods" than good with REAL foods. Just a marketing scam if you ask me. I'll take full fat over low fat any day.

I could go on an on about it, but I urge you to research for yourself! This is one of MANY articles Google has set aside for you to read: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/10/11/probiotics-healing-power-impresses-researchers.aspx

And for healing benefits, well these 6 reasons alone should be enough to convince you.
With that said, you can get better results of probiotics through real greek yogurt (try to get organic if you can!) but it's not exactly paleo-friendly, with the dairy and the cane sugar in it. I also found this wonderful product I've found called Lifeway Keifer. It's like a yogurt flavored smoothie in a bottle, and its 99% dairy-free and gluten-free but still not 100% paleo-friendly. Makes me so sad. But I think allowing it on my 15% of my 85/15 is perfectly fine. I am aware there are other ways to get/make your own keifer but at this point in my life, we are stuck here in the little town with minimal resources and access. I know I'm not mentioning others but specifically for this post...I do have a point here...what is it? Oh! I remember!

Here's my fix for getting in those probiotics with minimal resources! Kimchi! I know what you're thinking... "Sick. That stuff smells awful, how can I eat it if I can't stand to smell it?" Don't worry, its not my favorite thing either to smell but, they "younger" it is, its not too bad. I get over it and deal with the health benefits instead. Goose likes his "super fermented" but not me! I usually bottle up my jar after about 3 days of letting it ferment. He's let his sit as long as 4-6 weeks, which in hindsight might be too long. I say if you like the fermented flavor 2-3 weeks at best. If not, put some in a jar and in the fridge after 3-5 days!

The process is really simple, and yeah it takes a bit of prep time if you're doing it alone so that's why you should get a buddy to help you! Goose was in charge of the chopping, I was in charge of the beating. Win-win situation here! The best part about the kimchi is, its completely natural and free of weird crap that the stores will put in it. There's no added color, preservatives, pasteurization, additives, or lurking wheat/grain. It's just pure, real kimchi.

Here's our recipe: 5 heads cabbage (we blend Napa and Bok Choy)
3.5 lbs Daikon radish
2.5 lbs onions
1 lb carrots
1 lb Jalepenos (we mix fresh Jalepenos with dried Serranos for extra heat)
1/4 lb ginger
1/4 lb garlic
3/4 cup Celtic Sea Salt
Chop up the cabbage into chunks, no need to get it real finely sliced. Remember you're going to beat the crap out of it later. Slice the radish, onion, and carrots into thin slices with a mandolin or grater. Grate the ginger finely and mince the garlic. In a huge bucket (we use a 5 gallon paint bucket for all the mashing) put half of your chopped ingredients in and half the salt. Using the end of a wooden spoon, or even a wooden stick if you have one, get to beating! Make sure to stir the mixture to get the chunks that got shoved to the bottom up to the top so you get everything mashed. I'd say after about 10 minutes of cabbage crushing, you can move that to your pot you're using for fermenting. Do the same with the remaining mixture and then mix it all together. This recipe yields about 3 gallons of finished product.

The salt amount should vary upon how "juicy" your cabbage is. Regular cabbage will need a bit more salt, but the Napa and Bok Choy are very juicy and require a little less than the 3/4 c. Add the salt by taste. This time we used 3 heads of it, 1 head of Napa, 1 head of Bok Choy. Our experimenting lead us to decide to skip the regular cabbage from now on. We will only blend Napa and Bok Choy. Honestly you can eat this as soon as is chopped up, because it tastes so fresh but there's no probiotics yet in it, as it's not fermented and well...that's the whole point!

I transfer mine to a glass mason jar and set on the counter for 3-5 days. Don't fill it to the top, the liquid will spill out all over the world and make your space smell like a cabbage factory. When you feel it tastes as <strike>stinky </strike> fermented as you want it, put a tight lid on it and stick it in the fridge. It will slow the fermenting process down to almost a halt and you're good to go. For those that want to leave it for 2 or more weeks, simply put a heavy weight on top of the kimchi and cover it til the juices cover the cabbage mix, but leave some air holes for the gases to escape or else you're gonna have a wet mess everywhere. We put saran wrap over the top (pierced with small holes) of our longer-sitting batch, since we stick it in the basement until done. If you're like Goose, you'll wanna test a little bit every 4-5 days to monitor the fermenting process. The finished kimchi goes into gallon milk jugs and into the fridge. What a great natural, paleo-friendly way to get those good probiotics into your system!

Well after almost a year of not working out (please hold while I punch myself in the face for admitting that....okay done!) for MANY <strike>reasons</strike> excuses, I have gotten back on the workout train and taken off. What a dumb metaphor. Anyway, I can sit here and give you a long list of reasons why I didn't work out...but I will summarize with a few key points which all boil down to laziness if I want to be honest with myself. And, lets face it ... with this title, I better just be honest. I started out the year with some injuries, one involved my falling down the stairs that stopped me from working out, and I just got it all up in my brain that if I went a week or two and didn't stick to schedule, that I had ruined all my work and should start over...which was dumb. Goose was gone for 7 months (minus the weekends) and I just.got.lazy.(not to mention would have rather had TV dinners instead of making something for just me...STUPID!) My TV broke, my PC started wearing down and becoming unreliable, my fitbit broke, worked again, then broke. Then my hard drive failed completely, the one I had ALL my workouts backed up on, including old photos and music, etc. Blah. Blah. Blah. All excuses if I look at it truthfully. Except for the hard drive, that just happened. But it was a week of tears and sap until I realized intelligent me had backed up my photos and music elsewhere....just the videos were gone. I suppose the last excuse was I needed to get my eating right squared away and get through the 30 day paleo challenge first. Done, now what? GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER BRI!

I tried out a few different workouts, including a couple at-home crossfit workouts which I thought, "Oh that will be cool!" until there was a day I needed some kind of equipment that I didn't have and I would get discouraged and quit. I tried some other HIIT workouts, didn't love em. Enough with the cop-outs. My pal Dustbuster who is a little bit of a computer nerd was able to recover my workouts from the dead hard drive....I swear most of my technology is like lazarus and rises from the dead...my ipod, my fitbit for a while, this hard drive...anyway, after some scheming and figuring things out and long story short I have three of my favorites available to me again.

This week I sat down and wrote out the next four months of workouts. I find for myself, if I don't write them down I won't do it. Also, if I don't wake up and get dressed to workout (aka the tiny humans and parents are gonna see me in workout pants/shorts/tanks/ hoodies/tennis shoes for the remainder of their time here) then I make excuses not to do it. No more cute boots and tops at work! Sorry parents! I also don't feel like working out after work unless it involves a walk which right now is just a bit chilly. So, every day when these kids lay down its BRI time. No excuses. No cop-outs. No whining. I also think by blogging about it weekly will also keep me accountable, because if I don't work out I have nothing to report and therefore you all know I failed. I WILL NOT FAIL YOU, FOUR READERS!

With that said, week one was shorter than its supposed to be, but its in the bag.

Week one:
Since I already rambled about me sucking at my motivation and working out, I'll try to be more detailed next week, especially with the various workouts I'm doing.
Tuesday: I Started off with an unfamiliar HIIT workout on youtube and a crossfit since my videos weren't in my possession yet. I hated it. I did it, but I hated it. The video had NO MUSIC! How are you supposed to feel pumped up when its silence and a hypnotic voice telling you the next move? *rolls eyes* ... I got Wednesday: TurboFire and Chalean Extreme back and it couldn't be soon enough. (Lets shorten those...they will heretofore be known as TF and CLX ... okay maybe I just really wanted to say heretofore.) I started out with Fire 30 and was winded before it was over. I didn't stop though, but I slapped myself around a bit for letting myself get so lazy and out of shape that one of the easier workouts was so hard. CLX was a different story, I didn't notice I was working myself hard, til that night. OW. My back and shoulders and biceps were on fire. YAY!
Thursday: I didn't let my soreness get the best of me and what do you know, I busted out the Fire 60 like nobody's business. I was happy to remember most of the moves about 4 seconds before they started. It was a rest day for CLX, but I still did the 10 min ab burner workout *glares*. Those kids were extra heavy today. I totally took an Epsom salt bath that night, because I deserved it!
Friday: Today was Fire 30 again and this time it wasn't so bad! CLX was more pumping iron, real shaky legs for the legwork. Core was a nightmare, I had to take a couple breaks. Lots of shaky muscles today! I also did the Stretch 40 (yoga) and I am telling you that is a T-R-E-A-T. It's a nice to end the week after my first week back in full swing. You know who else likes yoga? Shyann Belle. Especially the last three minutes where we just lay in the floor doing nothing. She just comes on down and plops right on my belly to make sure I'm really laying down. Such a good helper!

I have big plans to do the Stretch 40 on Saturdays....that's my 6th day, and I usually only work 5 days a week M-F, but I know I need the stretch. Big PLANS. Getting the 5 days done is a big enough achievement right now, and Saturdays are usually busy food shopping and prepping, and errand running. Sure I can get it in if I hold myself accountable!

We blew that one right out of the water! We did our 30 day paleo eating challenge, and lemme tell you...it was so easy a caveman could do it! *slaps knee* Okay, maybe it was the transitioning period we had going into it, maybe it was that we were mostly on that mindset as it were. I don't think there was a day where we were like "I want pizza" or "I need cheese!", it just kinda went seamless.

Day one, I went through all our sauces and spices, and condiments since it was the last thing in our kitchen to purge. Anything that had fake flavor, msg, wheat (no matter how they tried to disguise it), rice, added colors or preservatives, or dairy went into a bag and into the basement. We've since thrown it all out knowing we can live without it. We instead use herbs from our garden, spices that were just that...spices, sea salt, pepper, evoo, coconut oil, pork fat, ACV, liquid aminos and white balsamic vinegar. The flavor of the actual food is allowed to really shine without disguising it with "fake flavors". We still to try to buy as much of our meat we could from the market, but sometimes just had to do with "store bought" and that is okay. It's how we've been living for months already. Nothing else really changed except we got smarter about looking for hiding items listed above and didn't buy those. Oh, and no more rice, pasta, bread, potatoes, or beans. No problem. *shrugs*

As for what we ate, I was amazed at some of the things we had. Let's start with breakfast. I mean how can you have a bad day when you start it off with a fat filet and a veggie omelet? Or how about "paleo breakfast burritos" for a nice change? Maybe you want something totally different like cereal? Well, how about "paleo granola"? I have tried several variations, but most always have a base of this one. Every day I had eggs and meat in one way or another. I figured out the very first week that for my body; if I ate the combo of steak, eggs, and a veggie that I would stay full until dinner time and not even think about food or hunger. So whaddya know, for me breakfast really is the most important meal! And to think I had gone SO MANY years without it. Most mornings we either had a pork chop or bacon with either fried or scrambled eggs because it's just easy. As we got farther into the month I experimented from probably my favorite website so far: paleomg.com . She has some of THE coolest breakfast ideas! I made a meat crust quiche that we couldn't stay out of, and just tonight I prepped a "mexican hash egg bake" for breakfast this week.

Lunch was usually a handful of granola for Goose, or a piece of fruit for myself, if I even thought about it. Dinner time was Goose's culinary godlike abilities time to shine. We did some experimenting with sauces. He ended up throwing some different flavors together and came up with a very delicious Asian Stir Fry sauce with a tahini base. I do love tahini. We liked the flavor so much we've repeated it three times. We also pulled some great mexican dishes together, paleo style. We did attempt to make a paleo tortilla for fajitas, but I think for the time it took to make them, it wasn't totally worth my time so I'd rather just eat the fajitas without the tortilla. Carnitas were also amazing! Of course steaks for dinner! On those nights I would usually save my steak for the next morning and put it towards my breakfast.

Now, lets talk about the sweets. Sometimes a girl needs a glass of wine or a piece of chocolate, amirite? Have no fear! I was not deprived of my two favorite things. I just had to savor them in severe moderation. I made my own chocolate (a process that can't be easier, and so settling knowing what's actually in it) and stored it in the freezer...you know, for the times I just need to fix my sweet tooth. Eventually I forgot that it was in there. I did make a couple desserts that I will most definitely do again and I found chia seed pudding. Wow, where has it been all my life? I should have tried out coconut milk long ago...yum! I made the original version the first time, and put some into a big fruit salad (which didn't last a full 24 hours, fyi) and just yesterday I whipped up a chocolate version that will be divine over the strawberries in my fridge. For me, I think knowing that these treats are in my freezer and are super healthy (calorie dense, yes but still), makes it easier to not crave them. I just have a small morsel on occasion, and I'm satiated.

On February 1, we celebrated our 30 days with blue cheese atop our steaks for dinner. But as far as sticking to strictly paleo, we will. Every now and then we will have a little cheese, or a bit of potato if we want but really, we are stuck this way. :) It was so much fun finding out how some of these super tasty meals were so healthy for us. For Goose's birthday (today) I surprised him with chorizo and mozz stuffed, bacon wrapped poppers and I nearly died at how wonderful this concoction ended up being! I have said several times this month, "I can't believe THAT'S PALEO!" Giving up rice, grains, potatoes, beans, and processed foods may not be for everyone but in this house it's the perfect way to go. I mean, how bad can it be to be able to enjoy a steak for breakfast? And any lifestyle that promotes bacon, is a real winner in my book!

As far as our health, I know Goose's BP has dropped significantly along with his weight. Lucky jerk :) I also have dropped a few pounds but its very slow going, since I'm really close to where I want to be anyway.wee brihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06140991488129348554noreply@blogger.com0
